Tasked with setting the tone and direction in a newly created role, designed to elevate the EssenceMediacom talent proposition for our people and clients. The solutions architect between business needs and Centers of Value in GroupM. Director, People Partnership | May 2021 - May 2023

Brought on board to build and optimize a team of People Partners to construct and drive a strategic people agenda across all business functions alongside senior leadership in a high-growth organization.  Left the business due to a ≈ 8% reduction in force.

  • Partnered closely with Executives and Senior Leadership Team to create multipliers of our key people strategy pillars, focusing on recruiting, retention, engagement, recognition, talent/performance management, and DEIB

  • Employed a deep understanding of the business to build trust with ELT/SLT and acted as a thought leader on people and organizational strategy, including long range workforce planning

  • Scaled and led the People Partner (HRBP) team, empowered them to accelerate a culture of innovation and development while providing 350+ corporate employees, plus a global retail fleet with 10+ locations, with the tools they needed to be successful.

  • Coached business leaders and partnered with the legal team on escalated employee relations matters including corporate performance management and loss prevention at our retail locations

Joined Shopify following their acquisition of Tictail.  Owned the merger transition, working with internal and external partners.  Then moved into a strategic HRBP Lead role, supporting various teams.  Upon my return from parental leave, I was reallocated to a recruiting role to fulfill the immediate staffing needs of the business during the pandemic. Left Shopify to pursue a leadership role in people strategy and partnership.  Took a brief break between opportunities to care for my young child.
